OceanSix Alkalinity

Description

OceanSix Alkalinity is a balanced blend of carbonate and bicarbonate salts specifically formulated to restore and maintain alkalinity in the reef aquarium. Carbonate ions are essential in the growth of all corals. An alkalinity deficiency will result in halted coral growth and a decline in coral health. Using OceanSix Alkalinity will result in a stabilised pH of 8.3 to 8.4. The ideal range for alkalinity in a reef aquarium is 8 to 17 dKH.

Mixing Directions

• The 400g tub of Alkalinity Powder is sufficient for a 5-litre liquid solution. Dissolve 4 level measuring spoons of powder in 1 litre of RO/DI water.

Dosing Directions

• Use 5ml per 100L of total aquarium volume twice a week. Test the alkalinity level every two weeks and adjust the dosage according to demand. For aquariums with a total volume of more than 500 litres, the powder can be added directly to a high-flow area of the aquarium system.
